Shy first started his journey with SVPRIDE in 2023 as a lead volunteer serving on several committees. Now serving as the Chief Vendor Officer with SVPRIDE, Shy is all about tailoring a selection of vendors who align with the organization’s goals and values while also creating a memorable experience at all SVPRIDE Events. He emphasizes the importance of including businesses that are LGBTQIA+-owned to provide a space to be seen and to thrive. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Shy understands the importance of fostering and creating an environment that is fully inclusive of all individuals from all diverse backgrounds.

When he is not dedicating his time and energy toward the advancement of LGBTQIA+ visibility and inclusion in all spaces, Shy shows a diverse range of interests and hobbies. He loves to attend sporting events throughout the Bay Area. As a lifelong fan of the Sharks, 49ers, Warriors, and Giants, Shy has an unwavering loyalty to the Bay Area’s representation in all four major league sports. Shy regularly hits the gym as he emphasizes the importance of physical health but also enjoys being in the kitchen to bake and cook dishes throughout the world.

Shy attended San Jose State University, where he graduated with a Degree in Psychology with great distinction, and he also obtained a Professional Certificate in Human Resources Management from San Diego State University - Global Campus.
