Jason Sholl is a visionary marketing leader, award-winning storyteller, and passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and community building. With more than two decades of wide-ranging experience in marketing, media production, and public relations, he has elevated global brands, community initiatives, and media platforms through innovative storytelling and digital engagement. As Chief Marketing Officer for Silicon Valley PRIDE, he brings an unmatched ability to amplify voices, forge strong partnerships, and drive long-term impact.
As the founder of Sholl Media Group LLC, a Certified LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE®), Jason has modernized the digital presence of national organizations, professional sports teams, and Fortune 500 companies. He succeeded in using video, content marketing, and planned partnerships to engage his audience and grow his business. His work has earned 17 Telly Awards for excellence in online video production and sports programming, including his role as producer and director of a widely recognized professional hockey podcast. His expertise has led campaigns reaching millions globally, fueling measurable audience growth, brand engagement, and business expansion for tech innovators, sports franchises, and global enterprises.
Jason’s commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy and leadership spans multiple organizations. Since 2022, he has been a key Silicon Valley PRIDE Media Team member, capturing videography and performing video editing for community events. In 2024, he became Media Team Lead, overseeing photographers and videographers at the festival and parade to ensure comprehensive media coverage of Silicon Valley’s largest LGBTQ+ celebration. Previously, he served as Co-Chair of the LGBTQ Council at the Silicon Valley Capital Club (2019-2021), leading community initiatives that connected business leaders with LGBTQ+ causes. His dedication to inclusivity in sports was evident in his work as a soccer referee with international LGBTQ+ football associations (2015-2023), where he supported athlete representation and officiated high-profile tournaments.
He is equally effective in nonprofit governance and technology. Jason served as Director of Technology for the California North Referee Administration, modernizing digital operations for training and certification programs (2012-2019). He has led content production for legal, corporate, and educational institutions, helping organizations transform communication strategies and improve audience engagement.
A recognized industry leader, Jason was named to Silicon Valley’s 40 Under 40 (2018) by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. He has received multiple awards from the California School Public Relations Association (2018) for his contributions to education communications.
Jason holds an Executive MBA from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Arts in Television Production from Loyola Marymount University.
Beyond his professional and volunteer work, Jason enjoys traveling, hiking, and photography, capturing dynamic cityscapes and scenic landscapes. He is a passionate soccer fan and an experienced national referee with a deep passion for digital storytelling, media production, gaming, and live events. He also loves discovering new music, experiencing diverse culinary cultures, and engaging in LGBTQ+ advocacy and community-building.
